Today it fell.

As the mist leaves no scar
On the dark green hill,
So my body leaves no scar
On you, nor ever will.

When wind and hawk encounter
What remains to keep?
So you and I encounter
Then turn, then fall to sleep.

As many nights endure
Without a moon or star,
So will we endure
When one is gone and far.

I am the happiest I have been for the longest time, the falling snow today was magic, edward scissorhands is finally at work

salem

I'll begin with an apology for being the world's worst blogger. I have (finally) finished living out of suitcases and handbags and have started living in new cross. Yes new cross. It's taken me a month to eventually settle but I am proud to announce I am officially a london girl. Bus routes to brixton via peckham have become e a s y, if a little frightening at times. I'd like to think I am a savvy young lady. Think is the important word here. The N21 is my night angel, but can be an absolute pain, i.e. waiting 2 hours for it from monument after busing from hoxton.

I have been to the launch of LANZAROTE, a superb club night launched by the mastermind of sexbeat, it was set in a disused victorian warehouse in shoreditch, the beauty of it was you hand to work out where the venue was via virals. HEALTH performed with Richard Fearless, Dam Mantle and Hounds of Hate as support, a blinding line up. The persistent crowd surfing and incredibly stylish students made up for the pricy drinks and makeshift bathrooms. In fear of losing my camera I left it in my little flat but you can find some wonderful photos here: http://sexbeatlondon.com/2010/10/19/lanzarote-i-health-photos/#more-1386

PART II is on its way next month with the outstanding Salem performing. This time will be at the beautifully haunting St Leonards Church in Shoreditch, hopefully not another bad N21 night, it has TRAGICALLY sold out but tickets can be won here http://sexbeatlondon.com/2010/10/25/lanzarote-ii-salem/
GOOD LUCK

I promise to blog more now i am settled and have found my camera lead....

Last Night

I went to the Book Club in Shoreditch for the private viewing/opening night of Faris' "Drawing A Straight Number Nine"

The drawings themselves were clearly immaculately intricate, time consumingly created, each one had been heavily focused upon, it wasn't hard for even the most inexperienced art voyeur to appreciate the sheer amount of talent that was so beautifully and complexly presented by Badwan. Accompanied by a superb DJ set by him personally, and a very atmospheric projection of his hands leafing through his moleskines, it was hard not to feel as if you were intruding.

it is on for a while at the Book Club in east, do take a visit, its free entry and a beautiful experience

I took some snaps with my little fisheye which will be developed the soonest!

there's still blood in your hair

So it was recently my birthday.

I was bestowed a Prada Handbag.

Still speechless.

I feel like a doctor carrying it, i love it. Im so so excited about Autumn's look, im going to charity shops tomorrow to find some clothes to channel the 50's look. Hoping to find a ribbed v-neck top, cashmere cardigan, perhaps if Im lucky a circle skirt and a crocodile print handbag...perhaps im pushing it a bit, windsor charity shops are notorious for gem findings, imagine wealthy debonair elderly ladies, their castoffs....

Q. now what on earth do I wear to the opening night of Faris' art exhibition 'drawing a straight number nine' ? ANY IDEAS?

Just finished watching Bad education / La mala educación by Almodovar
the cinematography is wonderful, colours, shots, absolutely brilliant if a little shocking at times and almost frustrating it is a fantastically dark piece which is juxtaposed with the extreme uses of colour

Your finest Hour

Today I danced.
Im going out tomorrow and am going to base my outfit on.....

I will let you know how that fares

in the meantime:

"Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! — quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!“

Thoughts of today...

i need to write some questions for an interview with race horses, I recently interviewed Field Music and it was a really lovely one, will link you to it once it is published. I write for Same Teens and so far have written in XOX magazine, and these current interviews are for the new online Zavvi blog, VERY exciting!

We'll Meet Again

Dearest,
this is something I have decided to do, I never do much wrong, little does it fare.
Thus I am beginning again. I will just be amusing myself with thoughts and musings, and by all means it will be shared with you my dearest new friend, Im grateful for you to be here.
I will begin by letting you know of things I like
I watched Jean Cocteau's Le sang d'un poète...
